I failed my first homework assignment. When I reread the instructions for setting up the blog, I realized that I hadn't put in the required heading, thus backing up the words of my professor, "People don' t think, people don't read". Thankfully, my response was " I have my moments". Hopefully, no more of them on my assignments!

I started on my essay yesterday filled with confidence and enthusiasm. The essay subject is "Do You Believe in the Existence of Ghosts?" Easy yes or no answer, however as I struggled to write a simple essay supporting my belief, I realized it's not so easy to fill three pages with a quality yes or no answer. So! All the planets aligned, the stars were in the right places, the sun shone in just the right way, the moon did that voodoo that it does so well and finally, at 58 years old, I am a college coed! No more walking around thinking to myself of all the things I could have accomplished if only I had had the opportunity for a college education. No more berating myself for wasting the gifted brain I was born with. I feel like an eighteen year old kid with my whole life ahead of me and all these amazing new worlds to explore. This blog is part of my class, already sending me out into a new world, the techie one. I have, of course, heard of blogs, even have a couple of friends who have them, but never considered in any of my farthest-fetched thoughts, that I would become the creator of one. It will be an adventure to see where this goes, sharing my thoughts and experiences as a grandma coed. I'm looking forward to it. In the meantime, I have to do some accounting work and start on my ghost story...
